From what I can tell, artists do not get into (severe) trouble for choosing the wrong age ratings - unless you did that for 'a lot' of images.
You've been on NG for quite some years. I'd advise you to read the rules again. Maybe something has changed since you first registered.
I skimmed through the rules and it seems the only ones I have broken were misrating artwork, unless there was a misunderstanding with other content
I think this is as far as I can speculate about this.
Unless you have the name of the moderator, you should ask in the appropriate forum (the Art Forum* from my understanding) why you got that ban. But please understand that it might take several days for the moderator in question to see your thread. Be patient.
I dont know which moderator did this, and I wasn't even notified of it, I just noticed I was not scouted anymore with the age ratings of my art being changed
so yeah ill ask there
